WBA super-featherweight champion Anthony Cacace is concentrating entirely on his upcoming fight in Belfast.

He plans to disregard any reports suggesting he might face Vasiliy Lomachenko instead.

The 37-year-old boxer will defend his championship belt against Liverpool's former featherweight champion Nick Ball.

This contest is scheduled for Saturday, 19 December, at the recently renamed O2 Belfast venue.

Ball has been in contention since a controversial victory over Ludumo Lamati earlier this year.

That previous encounter concluded with dramatic medical intervention after the South African fighter suffered a stroke during the final round.

Although Lamati recovered fully from that incident, it highlighted the intensity of recent bouts involving Ball.

Since then, the 29-year-old has secured a draw against Rey Vargas in his first world title attempt.

He followed that result with a win over Raymond Ford to maintain his momentum.

Cacace's confidence was boosted when he stopped Joe Cordina for the IBF version of the belt in Saudi Arabia last year.

That performance marked his first world title victory and has established him as a dominant force in the division.

The Belfast event represents his maiden defence of the WBA super-featherweight crown.

No further details have been confirmed regarding potential future opponents or tournament outcomes.

Anthony Cacace remains committed to his current schedule without external distractions.
