Israeli airstrikes targeted densely populated areas in Gaza, including al-Sabra, resulting in at least 105 Palestinian deaths. The attacks occurred during a period of intensified ground operations and a blockade on humanitarian aid.
At least 32 of the dead were reported to have been killed while seeking aid, according to medics. The strikes followed a declaration by Israel’s military chief that operations would deepen across Gaza City.
Two journalists, Rasmi Salem and Eman al-Zamli, were among those killed in the attacks. The death toll from the conflict since October 2023 now exceeds 270 media workers, according to press watchdogs.
