Three journalists were killed when their vehicle was struck in central Gaza near the Netzarim Corridor. They were documenting a newly established displacement camp under Egyptian aid supervision.
The journalists, Anas Ghunaim, Abdul Ra’ouf Shaath, and Mohammad Qeshta, were affiliated with the Egyptian Committee for Gaza Relief. Their vehicle was known to the Israeli military as belonging to the committee.
An Israeli security source reported that the Israeli Air Force targeted the vehicle, alleging it was used to collect intelligence via drone. A fourth person was also killed in the same attack, according to Al Jazeera.
