Gunfire erupted during a performance by the cumbia group Agua Marina at an outdoor venue in Lima on 8 October 2025. The attack occurred in the Chorrillos District during the band’s set at the Military Circle.
Four members of the band were injured, including Luis Quiroga, who sustained three bullet wounds. Another band member, identified as a Quiroga brother, was also wounded in the incident.
Police reported that gunmen fired from a motorcycle near the venue. Authorities confirmed the concert had not been authorized and lacked required security permits.
