Belfast Health and Social Care Trust’s Validation Team is reviewing outpatient, inpatient and day-case waiting lists, the Department of Health has said.
The team checks patient records and contacts people to confirm whether they still require care. It also updates contact details and identifies duplicate records.
Patients are being encouraged to tell their trust if their circumstances have changed or if they have received treatment elsewhere, to help keep waiting-list information current.
