Germany to end free COVID-19 testing from 11 October
Chancellor Angela Merkel and German state leaders agree to phase out free rapid testing from 11 October, requiring unvaccinated individuals to pay for tests to access indoor venues and events when regional infection rates reach 35 per 100,000.
