UK reports 260 new COVID-19 deaths, highest daily toll
The Department of Health and Social Care reported 260 additional deaths from COVID-19, the highest single-day total in the UK, raising the national death toll to 1,019 with 17,089 confirmed cases. The majority of the deceased were in England and had underlying health conditions.
