The Martin Group now ranks among the United Kingdom's most significant operators of vehicle storage facilities after completing the acquisition of NCP during its administration proceedings.
PwC, acting as administrators for the insolvent company, confirmed that approximately 145 parking locations and their associated workforce will be transferred to the new owners.
Prior to this transaction, the Derry-based firm already maintained a considerable portfolio of commercial real estate throughout Britain, which included holdings such as the Fishergate Shopping Centre in Preston and the Mercury Shopping Centre in Romford.
In addition to its property interests, the company has recently broadened its hospitality sector by developing The Bedford Hotel in Belfast and purchasing The Waterfoot in Derry.
The acquisition marks a strategic expansion for the enterprise as it consolidates control over a vast network of parking infrastructure across the island.
Staff members employed at the NCP sites are included in the transfer to the Martin Group under the terms agreed by the administrators.
The deal represents a major shift in the management of these facilities, moving them from private administration back into corporate ownership.
No further conditions or approvals were required beyond the initial administrative process to finalise the majority of site transfers.
