Derry is set to host Other Voices, a two-day festival of music, art and culture, for the first time since 2014.
Originating in Dingle, Co Kerry, the festival has returned to Derry after a long absence from the city.
Economy Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald stated that the strong year of rich cultural events continues as the city gears up for the occasion.
This marks the first year the event is being supported through Tourism NI's International Tourism Events Fund.
The fund provides £50,000 to support the festival.
Officials estimate the event will generate almost £1.5 million for the local economy.
Tourism NI's International Tourism Events Fund specifically supports events that attract significantly high levels of visitors while generating international media coverage.
