A no-confidence motion was proposed by People Before Profit against Education Minister Paul Givan. The motion failed to gain required support from unionist parties.
The motion received 47 votes in favour, falling short of the threshold needed for passage. Unionist parties including the DUP, UUP and TUV opposed the motion, calling it performative.
Givan defended the use of departmental resources to share images from his visit to a school in Jerusalem. Teaching unions criticised the release and called for its removal from the department's website.
