Spain win second FIFA World Cup with 1–0 extra-time victory over Argentina

Spain defeated defending champions Argentina 1–0 in extra time at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey, to claim their second World Cup title. Rodri was awarded the Golden Ball.

Spain secured their second FIFA World Cup title by defeating Argentina 1–0 after extra time in the final. The decisive goal came in the 106th minute through Ferran Torres.

Torres scored with an 8-yard shot following a header from Nico Williams that left goalkeeper Emi Martínez out of position. Spain recorded 20 shots, 12 on target, and 31 touches in the box.

Argentina failed to register a single shot on target during the 120 minutes of play. Midfielder Enzo Fernandez received a red card in stoppage time for a brutal challenge on Pau Cubarsi.
