Tyler Reddick won the 68th Daytona 500 driving for 23XI Racing, a team co-owned by Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin. The victory was his ninth career win in the NASCAR Cup Series.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Joey Logano, Chase Elliott and Brad Keselowski finished in the top five. Kyle Busch finished 15th after a crash on lap 123 damaged his car and ended his chances.

Chase Elliott noted that fuel-savings strategies have become standard across the field since the introduction of the Next Gen car. Alan Gustafson confirmed that teams now routinely use such tactics, making them a permanent feature of superspeedway racing.
