Ireland head coach Scott Bemand has confirmed Jane Clohessy and Niamh Gallagher will feature in the starting line-up for the upcoming Test against Japan.

The Munster forward, who is set to earn her third cap, will make her maiden appearance in the second row position.

Gallagher, playing at full-back, has been selected for the first time in a representative match.

Beibhinn Parsons joins Gallagher and Robyn O'Connor to form the back three of the starting XV.

The front row consists of Linda Djougang, Neve Jones and Eilis Cahill, with Clohessy and Fiona Tuite-O'Sullivan positioned in the second row.

Anna McGann will partner Aoife Dalton at centre, while Emily Lane and Dannah O'Brien continue their partnership in the half-back line.

Erin King captains the side from flanker, supported by Brittany Hogan and Jemima Adams Verling in the back row.

Sophie Barrett, Kate Jordan and Alana McInerney are scheduled to make their debut appearances off the bench.
