A section of the Lagan Towpath reaches its planned reopening date on Monday following a three-week maintenance closure.

The affected stretch runs from Lock 3 McCleave's Lock and Blackstone Bridge to Shaws Bridge. The closure began on 27 July.

The Department for Infrastructure has listed 17 August as the planned reopening date, but has not issued a live confirmation that access has resumed. It has also said new public-safety signage has been installed along the Lagan Navigation.
