A grenade explosion occurred on a train in Ovruch, Zhytomyr Oblast, Ukraine, at approximately 10:50 AM local time on October 24, 2025. The incident took place while State Border Guard Service officers were conducting document checks on a diesel train platform. The blast resulted in four fatalities and at least 12 injuries. The perpetrator, a 23-year-old man from Kharkiv, died in the explosion.

He was reported to be a fugitive from Kharkiv and had been wanted by authorities prior to the attack. The victims included three women aged 29, 58, and 82, all residents of the Korosten region, and one border guard. The injured, numbering 12 as of 1:00 PM on the same day, were receiving medical treatment. The National Police of Ukraine confirmed the details and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack.

The explosion caused significant disruption and left the local community in shock. Authorities are reviewing security protocols at train stations in the region.
