A norovirus outbreak led to the postponement of the Finland versus Canada women's ice hockey match at the Winter Olympics. Thirteen members of the Finnish team were either infected or placed in quarantine.
The Finnish team had only ten healthy players remaining after a practice on Thursday. The team's coach stated most sick players were improving but not fit enough to compete.
The game was rescheduled to 12 February at the Milano Rho Ice Hockey Arena. Olympic officials confirmed the decision was made to protect the health of both teams and maintain competition integrity.
