Munster recorded their initial success in the United Rugby Championship after defeating the Bulls by four points in a match played at Thomond Park.

The final scoreline stood at 26-22, with Munster earning a bonus point for crossing the try line more times than any other team during the contest.

Munster's starting lineup included Daly, Kilgallen, O'Brien, Kelly and McCarthy in the forward pack, while O'Shea, Casey, Milne, van der Merwe, Aungier, Ahern, Wycherley, Edogbo, Hodnett and Gleeson formed the backline.

Opposing them were Bulls players Kunene, de Klerk, Gans, Jacobs, Abrahams, Bosch, Burger, Tshakweni, Else, Klopper, Vermaak, Ludwig, Coetzee, Liebenberg and Rudolph in their starting positions.

Substitutes brought on for Munster comprised Brookes, Loughman, Foxe, O'Connell, Coombes, O'Donovan, Hanrahan and Kendellen throughout the match.

The Bulls squad received replacements from Uys, Sithole, Mchunu, van Heerden, Carr, de Wet, Jooste and le Roux during the game.

This result represents Munster's first victory of the current United Rugby Championship season.
