The Irish Football Association confirmed Northern Ireland's Over 70s walking football team has been crowned World Masters champions following an undefeated campaign at the tournament held between 13 and 16 August.
Teams from 21 nations competed in the event, with Derry represented across three age divisions including the Over 60s, Over 65s and Over 70s categories.
Three players scored during the tournament, with David Lemon, Ian Moore and George Gribben all contributing goals to the squad's tally.
Ellis Harvey kept his position as goalkeeper on form throughout the contest, notably saving three penalties in one instance.
The Over 60s side also had a successful run, reaching the semi-finals with goals from John McClure and Anthony Cafolla.
Jim Gorman and Noel Agnew netted for the Over 65s group who beat the Celtic Nations and Switzerland before falling short in the final stages due to several drawn matches.
The Irish Football Association stated the campaign concluded with the Derry team taking home the World Masters title.
