Students up to the age of 25 in Northern Ireland will be offered a one-off meningitis B vaccine. The programme aims to protect those considered at highest risk of MenB infection.
Eligibility includes current year 14 students aged 17 to 18 and anyone up to 25 attending higher education or residential further education for the first time in autumn 2026. International students are included in the eligibility criteria.
The vaccine is expected to be available in mid to late July 2026. It will help prevent serious illnesses such as meningitis and sepsis caused by MenB.
