Over 2.4 million children return to Israeli schools with health restrictions
More than 2.4 million children in Israel resumed schooling on 1 September 2021 under mandatory mask-wearing and testing protocols, with around a quarter unable to attend due to infection or quarantine. The measures were introduced amid a rise in cases driven by the Delta variant, despite high vaccination rates.
