Morgan Geyser was detained by Illinois police in Posen after fleeing a supervised group home in Wisconsin. She had removed her electronic monitoring device and left the facility on 23 November 2025.
Police located her at a truck stop in Posen, Illinois, where she was found to have made a statement about her past actions. Authorities confirmed she had been on the run since the night before her capture.
Geyser was returned to Wisconsin custody following her arrest. She had previously been released under supervision after serving part of a 40-year sentence for a 2014 stabbing.
