Spain enacts permanent ban on arms and fuel shipments to Israel

Spain has implemented a permanent prohibition on ships carrying fuel and aircraft transporting military equipment to Israel from its ports and airspace. The measure follows a declaration of genocide in Gaza and includes restrictions on entry for individuals implicated in violations.

Spain has imposed a permanent ban on vessels transporting fuel to Israel from its ports. Aircraft carrying defence material are also prohibited from entering Spanish airspace.

The ban forms part of a broader package of measures aimed at halting what Spain describes as a genocide in Gaza. It includes a total prohibition on weapons and ammunition sales to Israel.

Spain has also restricted consular services for citizens in illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank. Products from occupied territories are now banned from import.
