Ulster head coach Richie Murphy has announced seven changes to his squad for the United Rugby Championship fixture against Munster scheduled for Saturday afternoon at Affidea Stadium.

The province's selection includes Stuart McCloskey and Nick Timoney in the starting line-up, both of whom are returning from injury after missing significant portions of the previous campaign.

McCloskey, who will make his 218th appearance for Ulster, joins a midfield partnership with summer acquisition Jamie Benson at inside centre.

Timoney returns to the back row alongside Cormac Izuchukwu, who has shifted from second row to fly-half position, and Juarno Augustus.

Recent signings Ben Donnell and Eli Snyman have been integrated into the second row formation.

Munster captain Tadhg Beirne is set to feature in his first match since recovering from injury, having missed the conclusion of last season's fixtures.

Beirne, who played for Ireland during the summer Nations Championship series, joins nine other players listed as changes by Munster head coach Clayton McMillan.

The Irish province are bolstered by their victory over the Bulls in the preceding weekend, which secured a bonus-point result.

Ulster's starting XV features Nathan Doak at scrum-half for his first start of the season, while Jack Murphy remains at number ten following his try-scoring performance against Glasgow.

Ben O'Connor and Alex Nankivell are named at full-back and outside centre respectively, with JJ Hanrahan reinstalled at fly-half position.

Props Jeremy Loughman and Kieran Brookes return to the front row alongside Marnus van der Merwe.

Jack O'Donoghue, Alex Kendellen and Gavin Coombes comprise an entirely new back row configuration for Ulster.

The match is set to begin at 17:30 BST with live commentary available on BBC Sport platforms.
