A vessel was approached and hailed by a white skiff carrying five individuals. This was followed by an exchange of small-arms fire between the vessel and the skiff.
Two additional skiffs were reported in the vicinity during the incident. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations confirmed the event and stated that authorities were investigating.
