UK confirms first Omicron cases linked to southern Africa travel
Two individuals in Chelmsford and Nottingham tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant after travelling from southern Africa. The cases were confirmed by the UK Health Security Agency through genomic sequencing.
