Irish, Scottish and Welsh teams now have an additional motivation to compete for a home final in the 2026-27 Celtic Challenge.
The championship conclusion will be played at the ground of the highest-ranked team rather than a neutral venue.
Teams play five home and away fixtures during the regular season before advancing through semi-finals.
The higher seed among the two semi-final winners will host the final match.
Last season Wolfhounds defeated Irish rivals Clovers in a final held at Hive Stadium in Edinburgh.
The champions, who secured their third consecutive title, start the 2026-27 campaign at home against Welsh side Brython Thunder in Belfast.
The cross-border competition featuring two clubs from each of Ireland, Scotland and Wales begins on Saturday, 5 December.
Edinburgh will travel to Ireland to face Clovers while Gwalia Lightning entertain Glasgow.
