Ex-Everton and Rangers striker Duncan Ferguson has been identified as the new head coach of Glentoran.
This appointment comes after Declan Devine stepped down from his position at the club earlier this year.
Ferguson previously led Derry City to a County Antrim Shield triumph during the 2024-25 campaign, marking their first major trophy since winning the Irish Cup in 2020.
The Glens currently occupy third place in the Irish Premiership table with six wins and four losses from twelve matches played so far this season.
His coaching background includes serving as assistant manager at Everton under Carlo Ancelotti and Rafael Benitez, alongside two periods as caretaker boss.
Ferguson is expected to address the team's inability to secure a league victory for seventeen years.
Gary Bollan, who played with Ferguson at Dundee United and later worked together at Inverness, has been appointed as his assistant.
In addition to his time at Forest Green Rovers and Inverness Caledonian Thistle, the former player brings extensive experience to the role.
