Gross margins increased in 11 of Northern Ireland’s 13 main farm enterprises in 2024-25 compared with the previous year, according to the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs.
The department’s Northern Ireland Farm Performance Indicators report draws on the Northern Ireland Farm Business Survey.
DAERA said there was a £1,012-per-cow gap in dairy-cow gross margin between enterprises classified as excellent and those classified as poor.
