FIFA president Gianni Infantino confirmed Iran will play in the World Cup as scheduled despite ongoing conflict in the Middle East. He stated there is only one plan for the team's participation, with no alternative arrangements.

Infantino met with Iran's national team and federation officials in Antalya, Turkey, during their final warm-up match. He pledged continued support for the team's preparations ahead of the tournament.

Iran is set to play group-stage matches in Inglewood, California, and Seattle, with the possibility of facing the United States in the knockout rounds. The team qualified on sporting merit and will represent its people both within and outside Iran.
