The Iranian football federation president stated that FIFA has approved the relocation of the national team's World Cup training base from the United States to Mexico. The move follows security concerns linked to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Iran is now preparing for the tournament in Antalya, southern Turkey, while the new base in Tijuana, Mexico, remains unconfirmed by FIFA. The team had previously been assigned Tucson, Arizona, as their base.
The Iranian FA has submitted a list of 10 conditions for participation, including allowing visas for personnel with links to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Some squad members submitted visa applications at the US embassy in Ankara.
