Gracie Conway and Aimee Kerr scored twice apiece as Glentoran Women kept the pressure on Women's Premiership leaders Cliftonville with a 6-0 victory over Lisburn Rangers at Crewe Park.

The defending champions wasted little time in taking control, with Naomi McLaughlin opening the scoring in the second minute. Kerr doubled the advantage after 32 minutes to send Glentoran into the interval with a two-goal lead.

Any prospect of a Rangers response was removed by three goals in eight second-half minutes. Conway struck five minutes after the restart, former Lisburn Rangers player Faye Loughran added the fourth in the 53rd minute and Conway completed her double on 58 minutes.

Kerr rounded off the scoring nine minutes from time. Her second of the night took her to 10 Women's Premiership goals in 11 appearances this season, while Conway's double lifted her own league tally to eight.

McLaughlin's early breakthrough was her fifth league goal in five appearances for the Glens. Loughran, meanwhile, scored against the club she represented last season as Glentoran completed a third successive league victory since their defeat at Cliftonville earlier in August.

The win leaves Glentoran second on 28 points from 11 games, five behind Cliftonville with a match in hand. Lisburn Rangers remain fourth on 19 points after 12 fixtures.

Glentoran's next Women's Premiership assignment is a potentially pivotal home meeting with Cliftonville on 28 August. Rangers are also back in league action that evening, when Larne visit Crewe Park.
