Muhammad Na'im Jandiya, a senior Hamas commander, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in northern Gaza. He had served as head of military security for Hamas's Shajaiyah Battalion.
Jandiya participated in the October 7 attack on Kibbutz Nahal Oz and was involved in the abduction of Captain Daniel Perez. He also held three other hostages in tunnels beneath the Shuja'iyya area.
The hostages held by Jandiya were later accidentally killed by IDF fire during operations in Gaza. The military stated he had recently attempted to plan further terrorist attacks against Israeli forces.
