Jack Marley has secured a place in the quarter-finals of the European Boxing Championships following a close contest in Bulgaria.
He claimed victory over Aryan Panah Saed by split decision at the competition held in Sofia.
The result means Marley will now compete for a medal against Chantelle Reid on Tuesday.
Reid is the silver medallist from the Commonwealth Games and represents Georgia's Georgii Kushitashvli in the upcoming bout.
Evelyn Igharo also moved forward in the tournament, marking her debut at the event with a unanimous decision win against Aryna Danilchyk of Belarus.
Cliona D'arcy was eliminated from contention after losing 5-0 to Elzbieta Wojcik of Poland in her quarter-final match.
Jennifer Lehane reached the last-16 stage before being defeated 4-1 by Wassila Lkhadiri, a fellow Paris Olympian.
The tournament continues with several Irish boxers progressing through the rounds.
