The squad comprises fourteen boxers, marking a significant step back into top-tier international competition for the Dubliner after her initial retirement post-Paris Games.

Harrington reversed her decision to retire last year, participating in an exhibition match in Dublin during December before securing a twelfth national Elite title.

Although she has engaged in international bouts since that return, Harrington did not participate in this year's World Boxing Cup tournaments held in Brazil and China.

She joins the team alongside recent Commonwealth Games gold medallist Jon McConnell at 70kg and silver medallist Michaela Walsh from Glasgow.

Jude Gallagher, who won bronze in July, is also included in the roster for the upcoming tournament.

The 36-year-old has not contested a benchmark event since retaining her Olympic lightweight title two years ago.

This selection represents her first major competition of this nature since returning to active international status.
