A Russian missile struck a five-story residential building in Kharkiv, killing at least ten people including two children. The regional prosecutor's office identified the weapon as a new cruise missile, Izdeliye-30, used in the attack.
The missile hit a building housing a primary schoolteacher and her son, a second-grade student, who died in their home. An eighth-grader also died alongside her mother, according to the city's mayor.
Ukrainian air defenses intercepted 19 missiles and 453 drones during the overnight assault. Damage to energy infrastructure and rail routes was reported in Kyiv, Odesa, and central-western regions.
