Kyren Wilson secured the Northern Ireland Open with a decisive 9-2 triumph over Jak Jones in front of spectators at the Waterfront Hall.

This achievement marks Wilson's second major title of the season, following his victory at the Masters earlier this year.

The former world champion took control early in the contest, establishing a six-frame lead after the afternoon session concluded.

Despite the Welshman's efforts, Wilson maintained dominance throughout the final session, winning the opening three frames.

He then reclaimed full command of the match to capture the remaining two frames and lift the Alex Higgins Trophy.

The result represents a repeat of his performance in the 2024 World Championship final, where he also claimed victory.
