Casandra Alexander of South Africa won the Irish Open at the K Club on Saturday, claiming her second European Tour victory after also taking the Czech Open in 2025.

The 27-year-old extended her lead at the top of the Order of Merit with the triumph.

Leona Maguire's attempt to challenge for the title at her home event concluded without a win, though she finished tied for fifth place.

Maguire recorded a closing round of 68 on Saturday, which had previously placed her within striking distance of Alexander who led overnight.

Despite the strong performance from Maguire, Alexander held firm to maintain a three-shot advantage over Sara Kouskova of the Czech Republic.

The winning score for Alexander was two under par, while Maguire finished five shots behind that mark.

Maguire's final tournament result tied her with fourth place, matching the best achievement by an Irish golfer at this specific home event.

Alexander's victory continues to strengthen her position in the Order of Merit standings.
