Northern Ireland professional Mark Allen has withdrawn from the Shenzhen Open, extending his current absence from competitive snooker.
World Snooker Tour officials confirmed last week that the 40-year-old would not enter the qualifiers for the International Championship.
The event in China is scheduled to run from 28 September until 4 October, with Allen originally set to contest against Ben Mertens on the opening day.
Allen recently sat out both the British and English Opens, resulting in him missing the first five ranking events of the current season.
He also did not participate in the Championship League, China Open, Wuhan Open, or the Shanghai Masters non-ranking tournament.
The world number 13 has not competed in a professional event since his semi-final defeat by Wu Yize at the World Championship in Sheffield in early May.
His next scheduled appearance is the Northern Ireland Open in Belfast, taking place from 18 to 25 October.
Allen will be seeking to return to action at home before facing further challenges on the international circuit.
