Three bodies found in Ballymena house triggers murder inquiry

Police launched a murder investigation after three people were found dead in a Ballymena home. The victims included a man and two women.

Three bodies were discovered inside a residence on Cullybackey Road in Ballymena, County Antrim, at approximately 09:00 BST on 13 July 2026. The deceased consisted of one male and two females, according to police confirmation.

Supt William Calderwood confirmed the cause of death had not been formally established and post-mortem examinations were scheduled. Police stated there was no ongoing public risk and no further individuals were being sought in connection with the deaths.

Community leaders including North Antrim MP Jim Allister and Sinn Féin assembly member Philip McGuigan urged the public to avoid speculation. They called on anyone with information to contact police, emphasizing the need for patience during the investigation.
