An order under Section 11 of the Public Processions (Northern Ireland) Act 1998 has been issued to prohibit a specific procession.
The event was originally authorised by the Parades Commission following determination PAR\111838.
The march was scheduled to commence at 8am on September 27, 2026.
The notification for the route and details came from Portadown District Local Government Corporation.
A Section 9 request was lodged by the Chief Constable of the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
That request prompted a review of the Commission's decision by the Secretary of State.
Following that examination, the government official has now issued the new order.
The ruling effectively prevents the notified procession from taking place as planned.
