Seven people were killed in Kyiv during a series of missile and drone strikes targeting the city’s energy infrastructure. The attacks occurred in waves, first shortly after 1am and again around 7am, affecting several districts including Sviatoshynskyi and Dniprovskyi.
A nine-storey building was hit in the Dniprovskyi district, killing two people and injuring five. A warehouse for the Novus supermarket chain was destroyed in the Sviatoshynskyi district, resulting in four driver fatalities and three injuries.
Among the dead was Vadym Tupchiy, a 65-year-old actor and set-builder from Kyiv, identified by his son on social media. Damage was reported across 13 locations, including a 22-storey apartment block in Perchersk, where four stories were burnt out.
