An engineering company based in Lisburn is set to generate 100 new employment opportunities as it begins a significant growth phase funded by a £20m investment package.

The firm, which manufactures technology used to track the efficiency of power networks, confirmed that this initiative represents the initial phase of a broader development strategy.

This expansion follows the acquisition of the business by Siemens Energy earlier in the current year.

Management expressed a clear aspiration to build an enterprise comparable in size to Almac, the pharmaceutical company located in Craigavon with annual revenues exceeding £1bn.

The organisation's core products are designed to monitor electricity grid performance, a sector facing increasing complexity as renewable energy adoption accelerates across the region.

Financial records for 2024 show the business achieved a pre-tax profit of £8.4m against a turnover figure of £88m.

Output levels in the second quarter of this year rose by 9% on an annual basis, reaching a peak not seen in a decade.

This growth rate significantly exceeded the national average for manufacturing output, which stood at just 1.2% over the same period.
