The deadline for applications to join the Tourism Northern Ireland board has passed, with the Department for the Economy’s recruitment competition closing at noon on Friday, 14 August. The process was opened to recruit new board members.
The department ran the competition as an open recruitment exercise for Tourism Northern Ireland board positions. Friday’s noon deadline marked the end of the published period in which applications could be submitted for the roles.
The Department for the Economy said the initial appointments were expected to take effect from 30 November 2026. That date remains an intended start point in the published timetable, rather than confirmation that any appointment has been made.
Those initially appointed were expected to serve three-year terms, according to the department’s competition notice. The stated term length formed part of the advertised timetable for the new Tourism Northern Ireland board members.
