The U.S. has established a deadline for Ukraine to accept a peace proposal, with cessation of all weapons shipments and military intelligence support if the proposal is not accepted by 27 November. The deadline was announced following a summit between U.S. and Russian leaders in Alaska.

Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed that Russia had formally received the U.S. peace proposal, describing it as a modernised version of earlier discussions. He stated that Ukraine had previously refused to accept the initial proposals.

Putin indicated that the 28-point plan could form the basis of a final peace settlement, despite noting that certain complex issues remained unresolved. Ukrainian President Zelensky confirmed ongoing discussions with U.S. officials on the proposal.
