University of Edinburgh returns Paiwan warrior remains to Taiwan
The University of Edinburgh repatriated the ancestral remains of four Paiwan warriors to Taiwan, marking the first international repatriation for Taiwan. The skulls, acquired in 1907, were taken during a 1874 conflict and later transferred to the university.
