Stephen McCullagh was convicted of murdering Natalie McNally, who was 15 weeks pregnant at the time of her death in December 2022. He had used a pre-recorded six-hour gaming stream as an alibi during the investigation.
The stream, titled Violent Night, was presented as live on the night of the murder and later used to support his claim of innocence. It had already been demonetised but remained on his channel during the trial.
YouTube confirmed the termination of McCullagh's channels due to violations of its creator responsibility policies. The platform acted after his conviction, removing content that had previously generated revenue.
