Israel has rejected a proposed plan to disarm Hamas, stating that no withdrawal from the Gaza Strip will occur until the militant group is completely disarmed. The country maintains that the Yellow Line remains a permanent boundary for Israeli military positioning unless full demilitarization is achieved.
The proposed framework calls for the complete elimination of all weapons, tunnels, and weapons production facilities across Gaza. All weapons, both heavy and light, would be placed under the control of a National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, supported by an International Stabilization Force.
Hamas would be barred from any governing or military role, either publicly or covertly, under the terms of the agreement. The IDF would halt targeted assassinations of Hamas operatives, except in cases of imminent threat.
