Kimi Antonelli will start the Belgian Grand Prix from pole position after topping Formula 1 qualifying at Spa-Francorchamps.
Formula 1's official qualifying classification records Antonelli as fastest with a lap of one minute 44.361 seconds. The result puts him at the front of the grid for Sunday's race on one of the championship's most demanding circuits.
Max Verstappen qualified second, setting a time of 1:44.678. Lando Norris was third with a lap of 1:44.801, leaving the leading three separated by less than half a second in the final order.
George Russell took fourth place in the classification, followed by Charles Leclerc in fifth. Lewis Hamilton completed the top six after the session at the Belgian venue.
The result gives Antonelli the first starting position for the grand prix and establishes the front of the field before race day. The official classification also places Verstappen and Norris directly behind him, with Russell, Leclerc and Hamilton forming the next row of contenders in the published order.
Spa-Francorchamps is the longest circuit on the Formula 1 calendar at 7.004 kilometres. The Belgian Grand Prix was scheduled over 44 laps and a race distance of 308.054 kilometres, placing a premium on Antonelli's position at the front of the field.
