Kimi Antonelli set the fastest time in second practice for the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps.
Formula 1’s official classification for the session on 17 July recorded Antonelli at the top of the order with a lap of 1 minute 45.944 seconds. The session formed part of the build-up to qualifying and the race at the Belgian circuit.
Lando Norris was second fastest, 0.190 seconds behind Antonelli. Max Verstappen completed the top three, 0.472 seconds off the leading time, while Lewis Hamilton was fourth, 0.747 seconds adrift.
The margins at the front gave the session a clear order while leaving the weekend’s competitive picture still to be settled. Antonelli’s lap put him ahead of three established front-running names in the second practice classification, making him the benchmark from the day’s running.
Spa-Francorchamps hosted the session as teams continued their preparations before the decisive competitive parts of the grand prix weekend. Practice times do not decide the grid or the race result, but the official classification placed Antonelli first in the second practice hour.
The Belgian Grand Prix programme now moves on from practice towards qualifying and the race, with Antonelli carrying the day’s fastest second-practice time. Norris, Verstappen and Hamilton followed within three-quarters of a second in the published order.
