Bradford City have appointed Michael Duff as their new manager on a three-and-a-half-year contract.

The 48-year-old takes charge at Valley Parade following Graham Alexander's departure to Championship side Preston North End.

Duff previously led Wycombe Wanderers but was dismissed last month after a winless start to the 2026-27 campaign.

He guided the Bantams to an 11th-placed finish in League Two before his exit, which followed three draws and two defeats in their first five league games of the current season.

His time at Wycombe began last September as Michael Dodds' successor after a poor opening run.

Duff has also managed Cheltenham Town, Barnsley, Swansea City and Huddersfield Town during his career.

He led Cheltenham to promotion from League Two in his first managerial role and achieved their highest-ever EFL finish of 15th place in League One during the 2021-22 season.

Bradford City are currently fourth in League One on 16 points, level with leaders Plymouth Argyle who have played one more match.

The club aims to return to the Championship after 22 years away from second-tier football.

Duff faces a significant constraint as he travels to League Two Rotherham for the EFL Trophy tie on Tuesday at 19:00 BST.

He will be unable to watch the match due to a one-match touchline ban resulting from his time in charge of Wycombe Wanderers.
